QQE Flat Scalping (M15)

Intraday M15 scalping with QQE + Flat filter: trade breaks out of flat ranges when QQE confirms momentum; tight ATR‑based risk.

QQE Flat Scalping (M15)

A clean M15 scalping approach that pairs QQE with a flat‑range filter.
We mark flat consolidations (“box”) and only engage when price exits the box and QQE confirms a momentum shift.

Tools

  • QQE (e.g., RSI(14) smoothed; default QQE Fast/Slow).
  • Flat filter / box drawn from recent swing highs/lows.
  • ATR(14, M15) for risk and position sizing; optional EMA(20/50).

Context

Market logic

During flat phases, liquidity builds and energy compresses. A box break + QQE confirmation reduces false starts versus raw breakouts.

Setup checklist

  1. Flat identified: overlapping candles, low range, clear box edges.
  2. QQE bias: QQE line crosses its signal or exits neutral with the break.
  3. Trigger: close outside the box and no immediate snap‑back.

Trigger

  • Place a decision level at a box edge.
  • Enter on close through the edge (or a quick retest that holds).
  • If price re‑enters the box within 3 bars, stand aside.

Trigger

Entry

  • Enter on close of the trigger bar or on a quick retest that holds.

Stop Loss

  • Beyond the opposite box edge, or ATR(14) × 1.2–1.6 (wider of the two).

Take Profit

  • First target: 1.0R–1.5R;
  • Runner: trail behind micro‑swings or EMA20; reduce into prior session levels.

Management

Filters & risk

  • Skip news windows (±30–60 min) for the instrument.
  • Avoid signals when QQE is flat/tangled.
  • Risk ≤ 0.5%–1%; one active position per symbol.
