RSI & ROC Zones (H1)
An H1 momentum-zone method that pairs RSI with ROC to time mean-reversion and continuation. We define adaptive zones, then act on confluence of zone touch plus structure confirmation.
Tools & settings
- RSI(14) with dynamic zones: core 30-70, optional 40-60 for trend filters.
- ROC (Rate of Change), e.g., 9-14 periods, to qualify momentum shifts.
- Optional: EMA20-EMA50 context; ATR(14) for stop sizing.
Idea
RSI locates stretched states while ROC flags acceleration or deceleration. When price tags a zone and ROC confirms a shift, probability of reversal or follow-through improves.
Long setup
- Context neutral-to-bullish; RSI tags 30-40 zone with fading downside ROC.
- Structure reclaim or bullish close back above micro-level. Trigger: confirm close or retest-that-holds with ROC turning up.
