TEMA Reversal Capture (H4)

H4 reversal method built on TEMA(34/9): rules, long/short conditions, risk and exits — with original screenshot placement preserved.

TEMA Reversal Capture (H4)

A rules‑based reversal framework for the H4 timeframe built around TEMA (Triple Exponential Moving Average). We aim to capture swing turns after extension, using TEMA slope/position plus confirmation overlays.

Screenshot 1

Tools & settings

  • TEMA(34) — primary bias and slope.
  • TEMA(9) — trigger/fast reaction.
  • Optional: ATR(14, H4) for stop sizing; session/weekly levels for context.

Screenshot 2

Idea

TEMA reduces lag compared to a classic EMA/SMA. Combining a fast and a baseline TEMA helps time mean‑reverting turns without chasing extremes.

Screenshot 3

Long setup

  1. Price forms exhaustion (wide bar or spike) below baseline TEMA(34), then stalls.
  2. TEMA(9) turns up and crosses back above TEMA(34) or price reclaims the fast TEMA with momentum. Trigger: enter on the confirm close or quick retest‑hold of TEMA(9).

Screenshot 4

Short setup

  1. Price exhausts above TEMA(34) and hesitates.
  2. TEMA(9) rolls down and crosses below TEMA(34) or price loses the fast TEMA. Trigger: sell on a bearish confirm close or a failed retest to TEMA(9).

Risk & management

  • Stop‑loss: beyond the exhaustion swing or ATR(14) × 1.2–1.6.
  • TP1: take ½ at 1.2R–1.6R.
  • TP2: trail behind TEMA(9) or last swing; reduce at HTF levels.
